Quick answer

Patch 3 adds official support for most ultrawide and super-ultrawide displays. Fictions does not publish an exact aspect-ratio list or confirm an FOV slider. Close, Medium, and Far camera-distance options remain different from field-of-view control, so check your display on version 1.0.9 / 1.007.000 before considering any workaround.

Direct answer

Patch 3 says most ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors are now supported. This is a shipped official change in version 1.0.9 / 1.007.000, not the earlier Patch 2 promise that support was still being tested. Read the official Patch 3 notes.

The word “most” matters. Fictions does not publish a complete aspect-ratio, resolution, refresh-rate, or display-model compatibility table. A specific setup can therefore still need individual verification.

FOV and camera distance are different

Patch 2 added Close, Medium, and Far player-camera distance options. Those choices remain useful, but camera distance is not confirmation of an adjustable field-of-view slider. The official Patch 3 notes do not announce an FOV slider.

Check your setup safely

  1. Confirm the installed version is 1.0.9 on PC/Xbox or 1.007.000 on PS5.
  2. Select the monitor’s native resolution and inspect gameplay, menus, subtitles, cutscenes, and pre-rendered media separately.
  3. Try the in-game camera-distance choices if character framing feels too close.
  4. If the image crops, stretches, pillarboxes, or exposes UI problems, record the exact resolution and aspect ratio before reporting it.

What this page does not recommend

It does not recommend changing hidden configuration values, replacing files, downloading tools, or applying a mod to force ultrawide or FOV behavior. The reviewed official sources do not validate those approaches, and a later patch could change their effects.

Remaining unknowns

Fictions has not confirmed a user-controlled FOV slider, an exhaustive supported-resolution list, or whether every cutscene renders natively at ultrawide ratios. Those questions remain open until official documentation or repeatable testing answers them.
